Dr. Murray is the exclusive Veterinary for Porter Puppies. She is the most kind, dependable, knowledgeable, dedicated and helpful Veterinary you will meet. Her clinic is extremely clean, comfortable and has the most up-to-date equipment a Veterinary Clinic can offer.
You will find the staff at Macon County Veterinary Hospital very friendly and helpful. They are always there to help and to take your calls and get your questions to the doctor.
Macon County Veterninary Hospital was destroyed in the tornadoes on February 5th, 2008.
The new clinic was finished and finally re-opened on September 23, 2008 after the business was run temporarily out of business mobiles for several months. We are proud to be a clients of Macon County Veterinary Hospital and highly recommend and encourage all new puppies and their puppy owners to at least meet Dr. Murray and invite you to become a client as well. You will be most satisfied with the services you are provided at Macon County Veterinary Hospital.
Hours of Operation: Tuesday - Friday 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until Noon. If you have an emergency after hours, call the clinic's regular telephone number first to see if after hour care is available, if it is, you will be given instructions for the emergency call. There may or may not be emergency staff available after hours. You need to have a back up plan or an Emergency Animal Hospital number that services your area just in case.
| Puppy Vaccination Schedule 
A Mother's Immune System can only protect her puppy so long. Then they must begin vaccinations in order to stay healthy. All Porter Puppies have routine check-ups by Dr. Lori Murray. They begin their vaccinations at 6 weeks of age, and continue as follows: 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks. Also at 16 weeks they begin Interceptor heartworm prevention. What do you know about your puppy? Is your breeder totally honest with you? You should know exactly how your puppy rates and we want to be upfront with you about everything about you with your puppy. (Just ask the vet!-She'll tell you--sometimes we want to know too much!) Here is what you will find out from the checklist we personally created for each individual puppy so you can can know exactly how your puppy rates. The Veterinary will rate your puppy on the following: Patellas, Hips, Shoulders, Heart, Lungs, Liver, Kidneys, Eyes, Ears, Bite, Testicles(if applicable), Open Fontanal and Hernias (Umbilical & Inguinal). (These exams are all performed by visual and/or by hand examination, these particular ones are not done by blood-work.) |
YOUR PUPPY'S HEALTH Your puppy comes with a complete vaccination record and health checklist signed by a licensed Veterinary. All of our puppies have regular health check ups and vaccinations done by a licensed Veterinary. WE DO NOT give any of our own vaccinations. ALL VACCINATIONS ARE GIVEN BY A LICENSED VETERINARY AT MACON COUNTY VETERINARY CLINIC. You are free to communicate with our Veterinary to know everything about your puppy. If you have questions about the health of your puppy we are more than happy to help you get the information you are looking for so that your puppy may get the best possible care. We have open communication with our new puppy owners and Veterinary.
